Hi Lela, Congratulations! In case you didn’t hear the great news last week, Congress passed the National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act. Thanks to your advocacy efforts, this bill is headed to the President’s desk to be signed. This is great news for the entire Parkinson’s community, and we’re so thankful for all your help in making this happen! In other exciting news, the Northwest office hosted its first Women with PD event this past Thursday. Dr. Rebecca Gilbert gave an interesting and informative talk that moved into a fascinating Q&A period afterward. It was so inspiring to connect with women who are living optimistically with PD! The event was such a success that we thought we’d ask if you or someone you know would be interested in future events (in person and virtual) for women with PD. If so, we’d love to hear from you! Simply email us here with your ideas on what topics you’d like us to cover. GILBERT BLOG What Worsens Parkinson’s Disease Symptoms? Many people with Parkinson’s experience varying motor symptoms (e.g., tremor, stiffness, slowness, trouble walking, balance difficulties) throughout the day and from one day to the next. This variability is often related to medication dosing, and you and your doctor may focus on adjusting the types of medications you take and the timing and amounts you take to improve your symptoms throughout the day. However, in addition to medications, various other factors can affect how you feel on a particular day.
