9:00 am: Rock Steady Boxing - In-Person
–
Hello fellow support group members
Our 2024 picnic/BBQ is just around the corner – it’s this Wednesday, July 17 at 12 noon in the Community Room at the Lone Pine State Park Visitor Center! If you think you will want to sit outside to watch the cornhole tournament or visit with friends, feel free to bring a lawn chair. We’ll have some pop-up canopies but seating in the shade will be limited.
First, though, I would like to take a moment to explain to you how the raffle prizes and silent auction items will be done this year.
Almost 60 items have been donated this year! Approximately 40 of them will be on a raffle table and the other 20 will be in the silent auction.
Each person at the barbecue will get 1 free raffle ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased at the following rates.
5 for $5
12 for $10
25 for $20
The silent auction items will have a bid sheet next to them. You can write down your name and the amount you want to bid for that particular item. You should go back frequently to make sure you have not been outbid. There will be a cut-off time for the last bids. (That time will be announced at the picnic)
Remember, this is our only fundraiser for the year. Think about Christmas gifts and birthday gifts for yourself and loved ones. It is a win-win for everyone.
Please bring cash or checks. We cannot accept credit cards.
Following is a sample of some of the items that will be in the silent auction.
Thanks for all your generous support!
Kathy Campbell, Raffle/Auction Organizer
