Hi Lela, We hope you had a great Fourth of July and enjoyed celebrating with friends and family. Speaking of celebrating, we have some great news to share! This week, the President signed the National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act into law. From now on, the law will be referred to as the National Parkinson’s Project. This victory marks a significant step forward for the Parkinson’s community as this is the first-ever federal legislation dedicated to curing and preventing PD and striving for quality care for those impacted by this chronic and progressive neurologic disease. APDA is proud to have been a part of the efforts to make this happen. This is exciting news for the entire PD community! You can read more about the law on the APDA website. NEWS YOU CAN USE WILL BE BACK NEXT WEEK! Despite this victory, there is still so much work to be done to help people living with PD in your community and across the nation. APDA remains steadfast in its mission to provide the support, education, and research that will help everyone impacted by PD live life to the fullest right now. We can’t do it alone — so please make a GIFT to APDA.Your inbox, our website, and social media are the best ways to stay notified about upcoming events and connect with the local PD Community. And as always, we are here for you!Call or email us at:206-695-2905apdanw@apdaparkinson.org |
